The pioneer camp "Artek," located on the warm shores
of the Black Sea, was known throughout the USSR,
and every boy and girl dreamed of going there.
The first camp session took place in the summer of 1925,
and initially, it was a tent camp.
We decided to design a pavilion that echoes the shape
and materials of the first buildings, especially since
the designated location is at the very heart of the camp.
The pavilion is named "Treehouse", a meaningful symbol
of childhood.
Two years later, lightweight plywood houses were built
in "Artek." Today, it has grown into a large-scale complex
with substantial permanent buildings.
However, for our project, the starting point was precisely
those original plywood houses.
